Beginning January 1, 2014, there are changes coming to waiting periods, the amount of time an eligible employee must wait before health coverage starts. The maximum waiting period for eligible employees in new and renewing group plans will be 60 calendar days in California.
This applies to all fully insured medical plans in California regardless of business size.

Kaiser Permanente
SeeChange
UnitedHealthcare
Health Net offers 3 options:
1. First of the Month Following/Date of Hire
2. First of the Month Following 30 Days
3. First of the Month Following 60 Days.
